Citi Policy and Standards
A Partnership Built on Excellence
Adherence to legal and ethical standards is non-negotiable. All suppliers must comply with applicable laws and conduct their operations in accordance with the policies established by Citi for its partners.
To ensure these standards are met, suppliers are required to have their own internal policies and procedures in place. These must cover all obligations outlined by Citi, including, but not limited to, robust non-discrimination and non-retaliation policies.
We also expect our suppliers to make reasonable efforts to monitor their own supply chains, ensuring they are compliant with Citi's requirements and reflecting our shared commitment to responsible business practices.
Communicating Citi's values and standards to our supply partners is essential for building strong, collaborative relationships. We are pleased to announce the release of the Citi Requirements for Suppliers version 6.0.
This updated document, formerly known as the "Citi Standards for Suppliers," has been streamlined for greater clarity and ease of use. The previous two-section format has been consolidated into a single, comprehensive guide.
To determine which requirements apply to your organization, please refer to the designated topics and the applicability table within the document. Any section that does not have a specific applicability statement pertains to all suppliers.

This section outlines the country-specific addendums that may apply to suppliers providing products and/or services under contract with Citi.
Applicability
These "Country Addenda" detail the specific laws, regulations, and policies for individual countries. The terms and conditions within these addendums apply to a supplier and its affiliates when:
- Providing products or services, either directly or indirectly, to a Citi entity located in that country.
- Accessing any Customer Data or Customer Personal Information from that country.
The requirements are derived from local laws governing areas such as outsourcing, data privacy, bank secrecy, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
Legal Precedence
It is critical for suppliers to understand that in the event of any conflict, the requirements outlined in a specific Country Addendum will supersede the terms of any other applicable contracts and the general "Citi Requirements for Suppliers."

Our sustainable supply chain initiative is anchored by the following core principles. We support our suppliers in adopting their own codes of conduct that reflect these best practices.
Ethical Business Practices
- Business Integrity: All business interactions must be conducted with the highest standards of integrity. Any form of fraud, bribery, corruption, extortion, or embezzlement is strictly unacceptable.
- Transparency: Information regarding business activities and performance should be disclosed in accordance with applicable regulations and prevailing industry practices.
- Community Engagement: We encourage engagement with local communities to foster shared understanding and promote social and economic development.
Human Rights in the Workplace
- Freely Chosen Employment: Workers must not be subjected to forced, bonded, indentured, or involuntary prison labor.
- Child Labor Avoidance: The use of child labor is prohibited. A "child" is any person under the age of 15, under the age for completing compulsory education, or under the minimum age for employment in the country, whichever is greatest.
- Working Hours: Work weeks must not exceed the maximum set by local law.
- Respect in the Workplace: Employees must be treated with respect and dignity in a work environment free from unlawful discrimination and harassment.
- Wages and Benefits: Compensation must comply with all applicable wage laws, including those related to minimum wages, overtime, and legally mandated benefits.
- Health and Safety: Suppliers must provide safe and adequate working conditions and comply with all applicable health and safety laws and policies.
Environmental Sustainability
- Environmental Policy: Have an effective environmental policy that includes a commitment to continual improvement, energy efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Track Emissions: Track and report greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions with the goal of managing and reducing them to align with a 1.5-degree pathway.
- Life Cycle Analysis: Improve operational practices to increase efficiency and innovate products and services with environmental and social benefits.
- Pollution Prevention and Recycling: Reduce or eliminate waste at the source, conserve resources, and recycle materials whenever possible.
- Hazardous Materials Safety: Identify and manage any hazardous materials to ensure safe handling, movement, storage, recycling, or disposal.
- Air Quality and Emissions: Monitor, minimize, and control emissions to preserve air quality.
- Sustainable Forests: Follow responsible forestry practices and ensure procurement decisions do not contribute to illegal logging or deforestation.
- Periodic Review: Regularly review environmental policies and practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
Management Systems and Implementation
- Management Systems: Institute targeted ethical, social, and environmental programs with effective management systems (e.g., Internal Organization for Standardization (ISO), Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS)) to drive continuous improvement.
- Implementation: We encourage suppliers to require their own next-tier suppliers to acknowledge and implement similar best practices and standards of conduct.
- Legal Compliance: As always, suppliers must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards in the countries where they operate. While respecting local laws and customs, we expect suppliers to strive to meet the standards set forth in this document.
